Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using www.somachiropractic.com (the "Website"), operated by Soma Chiropractic Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Florida, United States, doing business as Soma Chiropractic ("we," "us," or "our"). This Disclaimer contains important information about the health content on this Website and about the limits of our liability.
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by this Disclaimer. If you do not agree with any part of it, please do not use the Website.
Educational information only
The information on this Website, including all text, graphics, images, videos, and other material, is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
It is not medical advice. It is not a diagnosis. It is not a treatment recommendation. It is not a substitute for evaluation by a qualified healthcare provider who has examined you or your child.
Nothing on this Website is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
No doctor-patient relationship
Reading this Website, submitting a form, or communicating with us electronically does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
A doctor-patient relationship is established only after you attend an in-person consultation and examination at our office, we review your history and findings, and we accept you or your child as a patient.
Always consult your own healthcare providers
Always seek the advice of your physician, pediatrician, obstetrician, midwife, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you have about a medical condition, a symptom, or a course of treatment, and before beginning any new health regimen.
Never disregard professional medical advice, and never delay seeking it, because of something you read on this Website.
If you or your child are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not use this Website, our contact forms, email, or text messages for urgent or emergency communication.
A note for expecting parents and parents of infants
Chiropractic care is one part of a family's overall healthcare, and it is not a replacement for prenatal care, pediatric care, or any other medical care you or your child receive.
We encourage every family in our care to maintain their relationship with their obstetrician or midwife, their pediatrician, and any other providers involved in their care. If something we observe suggests evaluation outside our scope, we will tell you and refer accordingly.
Infants and young children can develop symptoms rapidly. Signs such as fever in a newborn, difficulty breathing, refusal to feed, unusual lethargy, or a change in responsiveness require immediate medical attention. Please contact your pediatrician or seek emergency care rather than waiting for a chiropractic visit.
Individual results vary, and no outcome is guaranteed
Chiropractic care produces different results in different people. Findings, response to care, and the time required to see change depend on many factors, including age, history, and individual circumstances.
We do not guarantee any specific outcome or result. Descriptions of care on this Website reflect the goals of care, not a promise of what will happen. Any care recommendation we make for you or your child is based on that individual's examination findings and is specific to them.
Scanning and assessment technology
We use INSiGHT scanning technology as an assessment tool to measure aspects of nervous system function and to track changes over the course of care.
These scans are a measurement and tracking tool. They are not a diagnostic test for any disease or medical condition, and they are not a substitute for medical testing, imaging, or laboratory work ordered by a physician. Scan results are interpreted as one part of a broader clinical picture that includes history and examination.
Testimonials and reviews
Any patient stories, testimonials, or reviews appearing on or linked from this Website describe the individual experience of that person.
They are not typical, not average, and not a prediction of the results any other person will experience. They are not a guarantee, warranty, or promise of any outcome. Testimonials are shared with permission.
Accuracy of information
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this Website accurate and current. Health information evolves, and content on this Website may become out of date. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or applicability of any content, and we accept no liability for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
We may update, change, or remove content on this Website at any time without notice.
Links to other websites and no endorsement
This Website may contain links to websites operated by others. We provide these links for your convenience only. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, safety, or privacy practices. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy and terms of any website you visit.
Any reference on this Website to a specific product, service, process, organization, or provider, whether by trade name, trademark, or otherwise, does not constitute or imply our endorsement or recommendation of it.
Assumption of responsibility
You agree that you assume full responsibility for any decision you make based on information provided on this Website. You should not use this Website to self-diagnose or self-treat any health condition, whether or not you are currently under our care.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Soma Chiropractic is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, information appearing on this Website. The limitation of liability set out in our Terms of Service applies to this Disclaimer and is incorporated here by reference.
As stated in those Terms, this limitation applies to your use of the Website only. It does not apply to, and does not limit our responsibility for, the professional chiropractic care we provide to our patients.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, a written estimate of the expected cost of their care. Soma Chiropractic is a cash practice, so this applies to every patient we see.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the total expected cost of any non-emergency care, including the visits and services that make up a recommended plan of care.
You have the right to ask for one before you schedule. You can request a Good Faith Estimate from us, or from any provider you choose, at any point before booking.
You have the right to receive it in writing. If you schedule care at least three business days in advance, we will provide your estimate in writing before your visit. If you ask for an estimate without scheduling, we will provide it within three business days of your request.
You have the right to dispute a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate.
Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call us at the number below.
Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Website after we post changes means you accept the revised Disclaimer.
